About Small Town Alchemy
Ordinary life is full of magic. Sometimes you just have to notice it.
Small Town Alchemy grew out of the things I’ve always loved: small-town stories, nostalgia, making things with my hands, ridiculous enthusiasm, and those tiny moments that can turn an ordinary day into something memorable.
Somewhere along the way, I also started thinking a lot about what happens when you reach the middle of your life and realize you’re allowed to choose more of what delights you.
More creativity. More curiosity. More fangirling. More doing whatever you want.
That’s really what Small Town Alchemy is about.
Small Town Magic
For the places, stories and memories that make somewhere feel like home.
I’m endlessly fascinated by the stories hiding in ordinary places—the old building you’ve driven past a thousand times, the hometown tradition everyone remembers, the local legend that may or may not involve swamp gas. Sometimes the smallest stories are the ones that connect us most.
Midlife & Joy
For women rediscovering what delights them—and doing a little more of whatever they want.
I don’t think getting older is supposed to mean becoming less of yourself. I think maybe it’s when we finally get to become more of ourselves. More curious. More creative. More willing to trust what we want. And considerably less interested in whether everyone else understands it.
Fangirl Heart
For the things you love way too much—and absolutely refuse to be cool about.
Concerts. Books. Movies. People. Places. Weird little obsessions. Whatever makes you light up when you talk about it belongs here. Around here, enthusiasm isn’t embarrassing. It’s part of the magic.
And then there are the stories.
Many of my designs begin with one.
That’s how Story Stickers were born: little pieces of art connected to the stories behind them. Some are funny. Some are nostalgic. Some are about hometown history, friendship, getting older or figuring things out as I go.
Because sometimes a sticker can be more than a sticker. It can remind you of a place, a person, a version of yourself—or simply something that makes you ridiculously happy.
Welcome to Small Town Alchemy.
I’m Laura Lorraine—the dreamer, designer and maker behind all of this. Most things start as an idea scribbled down somewhere, usually with coffee nearby, dogs underfoot and another idea already waiting its turn.
I’m glad you found your way here.
